Flagship Service

Neurodiagnostic Assessment: ADHD & ASD

A neurodiagnostic assessment is an in-depth clinical investigation that goes far beyond a simple checklist or brief screening. These evaluations are designed to identify neurodivergent profiles across the lifespan — including high-masking individuals and professionals who have reached a high level of external success but struggle with internal consistency. Using a gold-standard battery of diagnostic tools, we evaluate:

Executive Functioning: Analyzing the cognitive processes involved in organization, task initiation, and impulse control.
Social-Communication Patterns: Identifying the nuances of interpersonal interaction and social processing.
Sensory Processing: Examining how the nervous system interprets and responds to environmental stimuli.
Cognitive Profiling: Mapping specific intellectual strengths and functional challenges to understand the "why" behind daily experiences.
Academic & Learning Support

Psychoeducational Assessments & Learning Disorders

Comprehensive Psychoeducational Assessments designed to identify specific learning disorders and academic challenges. These evaluations go beyond basic school testing to investigate the underlying cognitive processes that impact a student's ability to learn, retain, and demonstrate knowledge. By analyzing areas such as phonological processing, fluid reasoning, and memory, we pinpoint the root cause of difficulties in reading, writing, or mathematics.

These reports are specifically designed to meet the rigorous requirements for:

Educational Accommodations: Providing the necessary clinical documentation for IEPs, 504 plans, and standardized testing accommodations (SAT, ACT, GRE, and professional licensing exams).
Targeted Interventions: Developing evidence-based recommendations tailored to a student's unique cognitive profile.
Diagnostic Clarity: Differentiating between a primary learning disorder and other factors — such as ADHD or anxiety — that may be impacting academic performance.
Clinical Evaluation

Psychological & Diagnostic Evaluations

Comprehensive psychological evaluations to clarify complex clinical presentations. These evaluations are essential for differentiating between overlapping conditions — such as anxiety, trauma-related symptoms, mood disorders, and learning differences. By using evidence-based diagnostic instruments, we determine the most effective course of treatment and provide the clarity needed for school accommodations, workplace adjustments, or more informed therapeutic work.

Why Choose This Practice

Dr. Jennifer Im, PhD

Licensed Psychotherapist & Assessment Specialist

I believe that your treatment begins at the intersection of clinical expertise and human connection. My practice is designed for those who seek more than just a space to vent; it is for those who value a professional, evidence-based approach that yields tangible psychological shifts. By combining a thorough and accurate assessment with proven clinical techniques, I provide the strategic guidance necessary for you to move beyond self-limiting patterns and step into the most capable version of yourself.

My perspective is deeply informed by my background as a first-generation immigrant raised in an environment characterized by constant demand and a high-stress, fast-paced culture. I understand the unique weight of cultural conditioning and the scarcity mindset that often accompanies the drive for success. I became a psychologist to help others unstick themselves from these inherited narratives, find alignment with their true selves, and navigate a world that often lacks a clear roadmap for fulfillment. My work is dedicated to helping you dismantle the internal barriers that no longer serve you, allowing you to reclaim your narrative and achieve sustainable personal growth.

My clinical foundation is established at the highest level of the field, holding a PhD and having trained and practiced within the nation's most prestigious and rigorous medical institutions and behavioral health clinics. This background ensures that your care is not only compassionate but also anchored in the rigorous standards of modern psychological science and high-level diagnostic expertise.

As an integrative specialist, I utilize an expansive toolkit of over nine evidence-based modalities — including CBT, DBT, EMDR, mindfulness, and psychodynamic therapy — tailoring every intervention to your specific evolution. As a certified mindfulness and yoga teacher, I bridge the gap between rigorous clinical intervention and holistic, mind-body wellness. I personally maintain a deep, dedicated mindfulness practice, as I believe embodying these tools is essential to providing guidance that is grounded in presence and lived experience. My mission is to provide empathetic and highly effective, goal-oriented care that produces real-world impact.

Areas of Clinical Focus

What I specialize in

From diagnostic clarity to therapeutic growth — expert testing and evidence-based care for your professional and personal evolution.

Whether it is the anxiety that follows you into every room, the exhaustion of performing wellness while quietly struggling, or the persistent sense that you are capable of far more but something keeps getting in the way — you are in the right place. Select any specialty below to understand the work and whether it resonates.

Anxiety & Perfectionism+
This psychological state operates independently of objective evidence — despite a clear history of competence and achievement, the anxiety response consistently identifies new areas of concern. You are constantly running a background check on yourself: scanning for what could go wrong, what you might have said, whether you are doing enough. Perfectionism often travels alongside as a coping mechanism: if I just do it perfectly, nothing bad will happen. But the standard keeps moving, and the relief never quite arrives.

This is not a character flaw. It is a learned pattern — and it can be unlearned. Using CBT, ACT, mindfulness, and DBT-informed approaches, we identify the cognitive and behavioral cycles sustaining your anxiety, develop concrete tools for interrupting them, and build a life where excellence and genuine ease can coexist. Many clients experience meaningful relief within the first several months of focused weekly work.
Burnout & Career Stress+
Burnout in driven, accomplished people rarely announces itself dramatically. It creeps in as emotional distance — a growing numbness toward the work that once mattered. Physical depletion that sleep cannot resolve. A cynicism you cannot shake. The unsettling realization that even when things go well, you feel almost nothing.

If you are still showing up, still delivering, but running entirely on empty — this is burnout, and it deserves serious clinical attention, not another productivity hack. Recovery requires understanding what drove the depletion in the first place: the perfectionism, the conditional self-worth, the inability to rest without guilt. Using ACT, mindfulness, CBT, and psychodynamic exploration, we rebuild from the inside out — restoring energy, clarity, meaning, and a fundamentally different relationship with your work and your sense of worth.
Neurodivergence — ADHD, ASD & Related Presentations+
Being neurodivergent means navigating a world that was not designed for the way your mind works — and often carrying a lifetime of being told that the difficulty is a personal failing rather than a structural mismatch. The chronic underestimation of effort. The exhaustion of masking. The shame of missed deadlines despite genuine intention. The emotional intensity that others do not seem to feel as acutely.

This practice offers both comprehensive neurodiagnostic evaluations (ADHD, ASD) and specialized therapy addressing: executive function and productivity strategies, rejection sensitivity dysphoria (RSD), emotional regulation, autistic and ADHD burnout, and the professional and social challenges of a neurodivergent mind in a neurotypical world. Evaluations produce detailed, individualized reports for diagnostic clarity, academic accommodations, and workplace support.
Self-Esteem, Shame & Imposter Syndrome+
You have the credentials, the track record, the external markers of success — and yet something inside still insists it is not enough, or that you do not really deserve it. You wait, quietly, for someone to discover the truth. This is imposter syndrome, and it is extraordinarily common among high achievers, first-generation professionals, and those who grew up in environments where worth was conditional on performance.

Shame often runs underneath: a deep, often unspoken belief that there is something fundamentally inadequate about who you are — separate from what you do. This work is not about affirmations or positive thinking. It is about understanding where these narratives came from, why they made sense at the time, and building a genuine, grounded self-concept that does not collapse under pressure or disappear when external validation is withdrawn.
Trauma & PTSD+
Trauma does not live only in memories. It lives in the way your body responds when something feels familiar, in the patterns you cannot seem to stop repeating, in the hypervigilance that follows you even when you are objectively safe. Whether you experienced a single acute event, a childhood defined by instability, chronic relational harm, complex PTSD, or the quieter accumulation of systemic and cultural adversity — the impact is real, the symptoms make sense, and healing is genuinely possible.

Using EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy, mindfulness-based somatic approaches, and psychodynamic exploration, we work at the pace that is right for you — processing what has happened, releasing what the body has been holding, and building a life that is no longer organized around the past.
Executive Mental Health & High-Performance Psychology+
You are performing at a high level by every external measure — and inside, it is costing you more than anyone knows. The weight of leadership. The isolation that comes with authority. The pressure to always appear composed and certain. The private experience of anxiety, self-doubt, or emotional depletion that has no safe place to go in your professional environment.

This is a space where you can finally stop performing and start being genuinely understood. Therapy for executives, founders, senior professionals, and high-performers is not about vulnerability as weakness — it is about precision, strategic self-awareness, and building the internal resilience that makes the long game not just sustainable, but meaningful. Sessions are conducted with full discretion and respect for the demands of your role.
Scarcity Mindset & Intergenerational Patterns+
A scarcity mindset does not care how much you have. It keeps the alarm running regardless — scanning for what could be taken away, making rest feel dangerous, equating worth with production or accumulation, and organizing every major decision around fear of loss rather than genuine desire.

This orientation was almost always learned in environments where resources were genuinely scarce — financially, emotionally, or both. The mind adapted brilliantly. But that adaptation now persists long after the original conditions have changed, keeping you in survival mode even when you are, by any reasonable measure, safe. Therapy traces where this pattern began, honors the logic that created it, and begins the deliberate work of building an internal foundation that allows you to feel secure regardless of external conditions.
Interpersonal Relationships, Assertiveness & Communication+
The most painful conflicts are rarely with strangers — they are with the people closest to us. And the most frustrating patterns are the ones we carry from relationship to relationship, regardless of who the other person is. If you cannot ask for what you need without minimizing it, find yourself absorbing others' emotions and neglecting your own, or feel chronically unseen even by people who love you — this work is for you.

Treatment integrates Emotionally Focused Therapy, CBT-based assertiveness and communication skills training, and DBT interpersonal effectiveness — building the concrete capacity to identify what you need, express it clearly, draw limits without guilt, repair ruptures with honesty, and relate from a place of genuine security rather than fear, habit, or people-pleasing.
Life Transitions & Identity Shifts+
Major life transitions — even those widely viewed as successful milestones — often act as significant psychological stressors that can destabilize your sense of self and belonging. Whether it is a professional advancement, a major relocation, or a long-sought achievement, these shifts can trigger a profound loss of equilibrium. These moments are particularly complex because they often involve the very goals we worked hard to reach, yet they still result in a disconnect from our previous identity and conditioned narratives.

Clinical therapy provides a grounded, evidence-based framework for making sense of what is changing, allowing you to process the grief of what is being left behind while building clarity for your next chapter. Our work focuses on dismantling outdated expectations — whether set in your early twenties or inherited from family and cultural conditioning — to align your life with your actual values. By moving past these internalized roadmaps, we create space for an authentic sense of fulfillment that is truly your own.
Cross-Cultural Identity, Immigration & Intersectionality+
You move between worlds that sometimes feel impossible to reconcile — the family you come from and the person you are becoming, the culture you were raised in and the one you navigate daily, the identity that feels true and the one that is expected of you. The grief of acculturation. The exhaustion of code-switching. The isolation of being the first in your family to navigate certain spaces, and the complexity of success when no one around you fully understands what it cost.

As a first-generation immigrant psychologist who navigated these same pressures, this territory is approached from the inside — not as an observer. Specializing in the unique psychological experience of immigrants and children of immigrants, bicultural and multicultural individuals, and those navigating the intersecting demands of race, class, gender, generation, and professional identity.
Mindfulness, Somatic Integration & Mind-Body Wellness+
True psychological wellness requires more than just intellectual understanding; it requires a physiological shift in how your nervous system responds to the world. While the clinical data confirms that mindfulness produces measurable improvements in stress reactivity, emotional regulation, and attention, the real challenge lies in moving these benefits from a concept in your mind to a lived experience in your body.

As a certified mindfulness meditation teacher and registered yoga instructor who maintains a dedicated personal practice, I do not view these tools as supplemental add-ons. Instead, they are woven into our clinical work in a way that is evidence-based, practical, and grounded in my own commitment to these disciplines. For those navigating trauma recovery, burnout, or chronic anxiety, we integrate somatic and body-based approaches to address what the nervous system has been holding. This integrative process ensures that your healing is not just talked about, but deeply felt and sustained.

About Therapy
My approach is structured, goal-oriented, and actively collaborative — designed to create momentum rather than simply provide a space to process. Each session has a clear agenda, with specific focal points identified at the start to ensure we are using our time purposefully. I incorporate in-session tasks and skill-building exercises that are immediately applicable to your daily life, because real change happens between sessions, not just within them.

My style is assessment-informed: I begin with a thorough understanding of your psychological profile, and treatment is calibrated accordingly. Progress is tracked and revisited regularly so you always know where we are and where we are headed. This is not passive listening — it is active, evidence-based clinical work with a clear direction.
Research consistently shows that weekly therapy produces the fastest and most durable results. A landmark meta-analysis found that approximately 50% of clients show significant improvement within 15–20 weekly sessions. Most clients begin weekly and shift to biweekly or monthly once their core goals have been achieved.
The first session is a warm, comprehensive intake — a space to explore what brings you in, your history, your goals, and any questions about the process. There are no wrong answers. This time is used to genuinely understand your experience before building a treatment plan together.
Duration depends on your goals and presentation. Some clients achieve meaningful progress in 12–20 focused sessions; others benefit from longer-term work. Regular check-ins ensure you always know where the work is heading and why.
No specific preparation is needed. Come as you are, with whatever is on your mind. If it is helpful, consider briefly what has brought you to therapy at this point in your life, and what you are hoping to feel or be different on the other side. The first session is designed to meet you exactly where you are.
About Assessment & Testing
Yes — and the research is clear on this. Multiple systematic reviews and randomized controlled trials have demonstrated that teletherapy produces outcomes equivalent to in-person treatment across a broad range of conditions. A 2020 meta-analysis published in World Psychiatry found no significant difference in treatment efficacy between in-person and video-based psychotherapy.

Virtual administration of assessments is comparably effective and valid. Recent large-scale studies have confirmed that remote assessment yields equivalent results to traditional in-person evaluations when conducted by a trained clinician using standardized digital portals. Furthermore, these virtual assessments provide a data-driven, comprehensive cognitive profile that often enhances diagnostic accuracy by observing individuals in their natural, real-world environments.
The primary difference lies in the inclusion of cognitive and intellectual functioning assessments. A Comprehensive Neurodiagnostic Evaluation is an all-inclusive investigation that integrates Full-Scale IQ/intellectual functioning testing to analyze the underlying architecture of your mind — measuring processing speed, working memory, and intellectual strengths. This provides the high-level data required for formal academic accommodations such as the SAT, GRE, MCAT, or LSAT.

A focused ADHD or ASD evaluation is a targeted diagnostic designed specifically to identify the presence of neurodivergence for personal clarity, therapy treatment planning, or medication management. It does not include full cognitive/IQ testing and is not sufficient for high-stakes accommodation documentation.
A Psychoeducational Evaluation focuses specifically on the intersection of cognitive processing and academic achievement. This assessment is designed to identify specific learning disorders — such as Dyslexia or Dyscalculia — by determining exactly how a student's brain handles information in an educational setting.

You would seek this evaluation if you or your child requires clinical proof for an IEP or 504 plan, or if you need to pinpoint why a student is struggling in subjects like reading or mathematics despite high effort. It moves beyond simple labels to provide a data-driven roadmap — differentiating between a primary learning disability and other factors like ADHD or anxiety that may be impacting classroom performance.
Many individuals experience overlapping symptoms of both ADHD and Autism — often referred to as AuDHD. This combined evaluation uses a broader psychometric battery to accurately differentiate between these profiles, providing a more precise understanding of your neurodivergent experience. Given the symptom overlap, a dual evaluation ensures neither presentation is missed or misattributed to the other.
Yes. If you later realize you need formal documentation — for a medical provider, school, or accommodation request — a written report can be generated based on your existing assessment data for a supplementary fee of $300. You do not need to repeat the full evaluation.
Yes — a core part of this practice. Comprehensive evaluations are available for children, adolescents, and adults. Multiple evaluation options are offered depending on your needs — from targeted ADHD/ASD diagnostics to full comprehensive neurodiagnostic evaluations with IQ testing. See the fees section for a full breakdown of services and what each includes.
Therapy is an ongoing process aimed at creating change — developing skills, processing past experiences, and working toward goals. A psychological or neurodiagnostic evaluation is a structured, time-limited assessment resulting in a detailed written report with diagnostic conclusions and actionable recommendations. Some clients do both: an evaluation to understand their profile, followed by therapy informed by that data.
Yes. Many clients pursue an evaluation for diagnostic clarity and then begin therapy to act on the findings. Others begin therapy and pursue an evaluation later as specific questions emerge. Both can be coordinated to complement and strengthen each other.
Logistics & Insurance
This is a private-pay, out-of-network practice. A detailed superbill is provided after each session for potential insurer reimbursement. Checking out-of-network benefits via Reimbursify or Mentaya before the first appointment is recommended. Many clients receive significant reimbursement through their plans.
Yes — fully virtual therapy and assessment consultations are available across most states via a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. In-person sessions are available in Las Vegas, Nevada.
PSYPACT is the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact — an interstate agreement allowing licensed psychologists to provide telepsychology across member states. As PSYPACT-certified, virtual therapy and assessment consultations are available across most U.S. states. Reach out directly to confirm your state is covered.
Confidentiality is foundational to this work. Everything shared is protected by law and professional ethics. As a private-pay provider, records are never shared with insurance companies. The narrow legal exceptions — such as imminent safety risk — will be explained fully in the first session.
